Charlie Milne

The family would like to thank everyone for their generous donations at the memorial service and crematorium. We were able to raise £2700 to be shared between the Cupar Foodbank and the British Heart Foundation.

Donations can still be made to Cupar Foodbank here and to British Heart Foundation here

On Friday the 30th March, Charlie Milne sadly passed away after a heart attack while cycling in the South of Spain.

From speaking to the many people he knew, it seems that there are so many stories to tell of great times spent with Charlie.

The family have created this page in order for people to be able to share with them their stories and to celebrate Charlie's life.

Charlie Milne

- Born July 23rd, 1954

Oiling the chain

by Steven Prevost

Any seasoned cyclist will tell you

There’s one secret to a smooth run

No one notices when it’s not done

No one thanks you when you do it

It gets you up that steep hill

Ensures you can pedal for miles and miles

along the sides of roads and country lanes

Like the call from you when

You know something is wrong

The well thought out words of wisdom

That slip off your tongue

Like the suggestions you make

To recover from a loss or heartbreak

To resolve the legal gridlock

To help a youngster find purpose in life

The week you leave

thousands of memories join together

like a lifetime jigsaw puzzle

Only then do we grasp

the significance of all you do

Oiling the chains in our lives

Yet, never asking for a favour in return
